The Times Square business centre is in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay, a major office tower complex, shopping centre and entertainment area. Hong Kong is known as one of the Four Asian Tigers for its high growth rates and rapid development from the 1960s to the 1990s. The economy is dominated by the service sector. It is the world's 11th largest trading entity and its largest re-export centre, with the total value of imports and exports exceeding its gross domestic product (GDP). Even before the transfer of sovereignty, Hong Kong had established extensive trade and investment ties with the Chinese mainland, which now enable it to serve as a point of entry for investment flowing into the mainland. The Stock Exchange is the seventh largest in the world.
